 YouTube like increase is the biggest in three years.


Spending on online video ads jumped 21% to $15 billion in the first quarter, the highest level since the first quarter of 2013.


The company says these mobile advertising campaigns are making the bulk of their money from younger viewers aged 18-24.


YouTube has the ability to serve these ads more cost efficiently as it has direct relationships with the creators who upload their videos to the site.


"Creators need more tools and we are allocating additional resources to make their lives easier," Google CEO Sundar Pichai said in a statement.
